AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MORRISTOWN TN
120 PM EDT MON APR 20 2015

.AVIATION...IT WILL BE A BREEZY...GUSTY DAY AS A COLD FRONT TRACKS
ACROSS THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN REGION TODAY. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 10
TO 20 KTS WITH GUSTS OF 25 TO 35 KTS CAN BE EXPECTED. ADDITIONALLY
...WILL SEE SCATTERED CONVECTION DEVELOP OVER THE AREA THIS
AFTERNOON. COVERAGE WILL BE HIT OR MISS...SO WILL ONLY MENTION VCSH
AT THIS TIME. A FEW STRAY THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE BUT THE AIR
MASS DOES BECOME MORE STABLE BEHIND THE FRONT...LIMITING
THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL. A FEW SHOWERS MAY LINGER INTO THE
EVENING...MAINLY NEAR TRI AND OVER THE EAST TN MOUNTAINS.
OTHERWISE...SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD IN FOR A DRY NIGHT AND
TUESDAY. WINDS WILL DECREASE OVERNIGHT BUT WILL NOT GO CALM. THIS
MIXING SHOULD KEEP FOG FROM DEVELOPING. THEREFORE...VFR CONDITIONS
AND DECREASING CLOUDS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THE LATTER HALF OF THE
TAF PERIOD.
