URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA
211 PM EST MON JAN 26 2015

...ALTHOUGH PERIODS OF VERY LIGHT SNOW WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE
TONIGHT THE MAIN CONCERN WILL BE BLACK ICE...

.A STRONG UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM WILL MOVE EAST OF THE STATE TONIGHT
BUT THE ASSOCIATED WRAP AROUND MOISTURE AND COLD AIR COULD STILL BRING
OCCASIONAL PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW TO PARTS OF NORTHEAST GEORGIA
THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING. ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE LIMITED TO A TENTH
OF AN INCH OR LESS FORTHE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS GIVEN THE LACK OF
AVAILABLE MOISTURE. OF MORE CONCERN IS THE POTENTIAL FOR PATCHES
OF BLACK ICE TO DEVELOP ON ROADS AND BRIDGES THIS EVENING AS
TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING. ALTHOUGH ONLY AREAS ABOVE 2500FT
HAVE SEEN TRAVEL ISSUES THUS FAR...IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE
ELEVATIONS THAT SEE BLACK ICE WILL LOWER THROUGHOUT THIS EVENING.
THE BLACK ICE WILL BE MOST PREVALENT ALONG THE WIND SHELTERED SIDE
OF MOUNTAINS WHERE RESIDUAL WATER ON ROADWAYS WILL NOT DRY OUT.
