...A LIGHT WINTRY MIX OF RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SLEET IS
POSSIBLE ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA MONDAY MORNING...

A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE AREA TODAY. BEHIND THE
FRONT...TEMPERATURES MONDAY MORNING ARE EXPECTED TO BRIEFLY DROP
BELOW FREEZING GENERALLY NORTH AND WEST OF A ROME TO CANTON TO
CLEVELAND LINE. THE NORTHERNMOST PORTIONS OF THE STATE MAY SEE
TEMPERATURES DROP AS EARLY AS 2 AM...BUT CLOSER TO THAT LINE FROM
ROME TO CANTON TO GAINESVILLE...EXPECT AT BEST ONLY AN HOUR OR SO
OF TEMPERATURES BELOW FREEZING NEAR 7 AM.

MOISTURE WILL BE EXITING THE AREA AS THE COLD FRONT SLIDES SOUTH
BUT A WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING IN BEHIND THE FRONT
MAY BE ABLE TO SPREAD LIGHT PRECIPITATION ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA
MONDAY MORNING. AS TEMPERATURES DROP...RAIN WILL LIKELY MIX WITH
FREEZING RAIN AND PERHAPS BRIEFLY CHANGE OVER TO A MIX OF FREEZING
RAIN AND SLEET. AT THIS TIME...LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATIONS ARE
EXPECTED BUT IT IS ALWAYS POSSIBLE THAT A LIGHT GLAZE MAY FORM ON
ELEVATED AND EXPOSED SURFACES.

MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA CAUTION DURING
THEIR MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE. BE ALERT FOR ISOLATED SLICK
SPOTS...ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

FORECASTS ARE CONSTANTLY BEING REVISED AS NEW DATA AND MODEL
GUIDANCE COME IN. STAY TUNED FOR UPDATED FORECASTS TODAY AND
TONIGHT.
