...LIGHT RAIN MAY MIX WITH SNOW ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF
FAR NORTH GEORGIA THROUGH AROUND 10 AM THIS MORNING...

WRAP AROUND MOISTURE ON THE BACK SIDE OF A DEPARTING LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM WILL SPREAD PATCHES OF MOSTLY LIGHT RAIN ACROSS NORTH AND
CENTRAL GEORGIA THROUGH MID TO LATE MORNING. COLD AIR SPREADING INTO
FAR NORTH GEORGIA THIS MORNING COULD RESULT IN A RAIN AND SNOW
MIX...OR BRIEF PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW... BUT MAINLY IN THE HIGHER
ELEVATIONS OF NORTH GEORGIA THIS MORNING.

LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR MOST AREAS DUE TO WARM
SURFACE TEMPERATURES. HOWEVER... A LIGHT DUSTING MAY BE POSSIBLE IN
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...GENERALLY ABOVE 1500 FEET WHERE A HALF INCH
OR LESS MAY BE POSSIBLE THROUGH AROUND 10 AM THIS MORNING. THIS
WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN GENERALLY ALONG
AND NORTH OF A ROME TO CANTON TO CLEVELAND LINE.

TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN ABOVE FREEZING FOR MOST AREAS
ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA THIS MORNING... EXCEPT FOR POSSIBLY A FEW
ISOLATED SPOTS IN THE MOUNTAINS. THEREFORE... ANY LIGHT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS WOULD BE MAINLY ON GRASSY OR EXPOSED SURFACES AND MOST
ROADWAYS SHOULD REMAIN WET. HOWEVER... CANNOT RULE OUT A FEW PATCHES
OF BLACK ICE ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES IN THE MOUNTAINS WHERE
TEMPERATURES MAY BRIEFLY DIP TO FREEZING. MOTORIST ARE ADVISED TO
SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA CAUTION THIS MORNING DUE TO REDUCED
VISIBILITIES AND WET... SLICK ROADS.

THIS WINTRY THREAT WILL END BY MID TO LATE THIS MORNING AS THE LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM PUSHES FURTHER UP THE ATLANTIC EAST COAST.
