THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT...

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...

A VERY COLD ARCTIC AIRMASS WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION ON SATURDAY
AND THIS ROUND OF COLD TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED TO PERSIST
THROUGH EARLY MONDAY. THIS ALONG WITH ELEVATED WINDS WILL RESULT
IN WIND CHILL VALUES IN THE TEENS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNINGS.

ANOTHER FRONT WILL SAG INTO NORTH GEORGIA LATE SUNDAY AND INTO
SUNDAY NIGHT ALLOWING FOR LIGHT PRECIPITATION TO DEVELOP BY MONDAY
MORNING. WITH COLD AIR LIKELY STILL IN PLACE...WE WILL BE LOOKING
AT A WINTRY MIX FOR MOST OF NORTH GEORGIA BUT ESPECIALLY FOR AREAS
OF NORTHEAST GEORGIA. OUTSIDE OF THE MOUNTAINS...MOSTLY A MIX OF
FREEZING RAIN AND RAIN IS EXPECTED THROUGH LATE MONDAY WITH THE
MOUNTAIN LOCALES SEEING MORE SNOW MIX IN. THERE CONTINUES TO BE
MUCH UNCERTAINTY REGARDING THIS POTENTIAL WINTRY WEATHER AND
THEREFORE NO SPECIFIC FORECAST AMOUNTS ARE PRESENTED THIS FAR OUT.
WE WILL BE REFINING THE FORECAST THROUGH SATURDAY SO STAY TUNED
FOR THE LATEST UPDATES.
