FEBRUARY 2003 THROUGH JULY 2003 - WETTEST ON RECORD IN GEORGIA

According to records archived by the National Climatic Data Center, Georgia has never experienced a wetter February to July period than the one this year.

Although that time frame was the wettest for the state as a whole, it was not quite the "wettest on record" for 4 major cities in northern and central sections of Georgia. Rankings and rainfall totals for Atlanta, Athens, Columbus, and Macon are shown in the table below.
