Student Volunteer Program
requirements for HTML Programming Volunteers
High School and College Student Volunteers
The student volunteer must have strong computer skills and be very familiar with HTML.
This volunteer program is designed to introduce students to the web services
provided by the National Weather service, and to the processes required
for making our information available online. Also, the volunteer will gain valuable
experience which will allow them to stand out when applying for future career
opportunities.
Please understand that this is NOT an HTML programming course. Strong computer
skills in HTML programming are needed to be considered for this position.
Knowledge in JavaScript, PHP, and/or JAVA programming will be helpful. Include
in the application a listing of all programming languages in which you are
comfortable. Applicants with an interest in science, especially meteorology, will be
given preference.
