Lans Rothfusz presents certificate to Mr. Worden
On Thursday, February 21, 2002 Georgia's StormReady Executive Board met with dignitaries from Union County, including Mr. Lamar Paris from the County Board of Commissioners, and Mr. Charles Worden of the Union County Emergency Management Agency. The purpose - to publicly recognize the county as a "StormReady Community". A Certificate of Recognition and StormReady street signs were presented. Making the presentation were Mr. Lans Rothfusz, Meteorologist-in-Charge, and Mr. Barry Gooden, Warning Coordination Meteorologist from the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City. Elaine Sexton from GEMA also addressed the gathering.
