Fayette County EMA Director Jack Krakeel and other dignitaries
On May 24, 2001 Georgia's StormReady Executive Board called a press conference in order to recognize Fayette County as a "StormReady Community". A Certificate of Recognition and StormReady street signs were presented to Mr. Jack Krakeel, Director of Fayette County Emergency Management and county commissioners. Making the presentation was Mr. Lans Rothfusz, Meteorologist-in-Charge of the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City. GEMA Director of Operations Charley English also was also on hand.
