Douglas County StormReady Recognition Ceremony

Mr. Rothfusz unveils street sign
On Tuesday February 5, 2002 Georgia's StormReady Executive Board called a press conference in order to recognize Douglas County as a "StormReady Community". A Certificate of Recognition and StormReady street signs were presented to Mr. Curtis Little, Director of Douglas County Emergency Management, Ms. Rita Rainwater, Chairperson Douglas County Board of Commissioners, and other dignitaries. Making the presentation were Mr. Lans Rothfusz, Meteorologist-in-Charge, and Mr. Barry Gooden, Warning Coordination Meteorologist from the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City. Blair Raddatz from GEMA also addressed the gathering.
