Scenes from Muscogee County StormReady Ceremonies
August 19, 2003
On August 19, 2003 Georgia's StormReady Executive Board recognized Columbus and Muscogee County as a "StormReady Community". A Certificate of Recognition and StormReady street signs were presented to Roy Waters, Director of Columbus-Muscogee County EMA and Riley Land, Deputy EMA Director. Making the presentation were Mr. Lans Rothfusz, Meteoroligist-in-Charge, and Mr. Barry Gooden, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City.
