Cherokee County StormReady Recognition Ceremony

Mr. Robby Westbrook and other dignitaries
On Tuesday June 26, 2001 Georgia's StormReady Executive Board called a press conference in order to recognize Cherokee County as a "StormReady Community". A Certificate of Recognition and StormReady street signs were presented to Mr. Robby Westbrook, Director of Cherokee County Emergency Management. Making the presentation were Mr. Lans Rothfusz, Meteorologist-in-Charge, and Mr. Barry Gooden, Warning Coordination Meteorologist from the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City. GEMA Assistant State Coordinating Officer Don Thurman also addressed the gathering.
