On Tuesday, March 4, 2003 Georgia's StormReady Executive Board met with dignitaries from Carroll County, including representatives from the County Board of Commissioners, and the Carroll County Emergency Management Agency. The purpose - to publicly recognize the county as a "StormReady Community". A Certificate of Recognition and StormReady street signs were presented. Making the presentation were Mr. Lans Rothfusz, Meteorologist-in-Charge, and Mr. Barry Gooden, Warning Coordination Meteorologist from the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City. GEMA and the Emergency Management Association of Georgia also participated.
