Rainfall has averaged 10 to 25 inches above normal across northern and middle Georgia from September 2002 through June of 2003, with a few places nearly 30 inches above normal. The result has been widespread flooding during the last 10 months, especially in North and West Georgia.
The following are some rainfall totals from reporting stations
across the region...
The outlook for July through September calls for normal to
above normal rainfall, along with near normal temperatures.
The abundant moisture also means a rather humid period for
July through September as well.
