Coldest Temperatures Reported so far in North and Central Georgia
Georgia's first widespread freeze of the 2002 - 2003 winter season occurred Sunday night (Nov 17 - 18, 2002). Another outbreak of cold air swept across the state the following weekend (Nov 23 - 24) which pushed temperatures in some areas to new lows for the season. On Nov 28 and 29, another shot of cold air pushed readings in some areas even lower, with a number of locations experiencing their first "hard freeze" (temperatures below 25 degrees F.) The cold front that followed brought even colder air on Dec 2. Or... view a table with a more complete listing of stations.
