The Bremen Tornado Damage Survey

Storm Summary...

F2 intensity

Path: START position 6.5 miles southwest of downtown Bremen END position 3.5 miles northeast of Bremen affecting 2 counties (Carroll and Haralson).
width = 150 yards

  • at least 2 dozen homes damaged...mostly by falling trees
  • several businesses (at least 4) damaged plus a golf course
  • several barns and outbuildings either destroyed or damaged
  • many hundreds of trees snapped or uprooted. Several were VERY large hardwoods and pines.
  • extensive damage to power lines and telephone lines
  • apparently no deaths and the number of injured is unknown.
