Wind Damage to Home in Hall County (2007)

Most Georgians are NOT ready to face a disaster. Are you?

When disaster strikes, you should be ready to support yourself and your family for at least 72 hours. Surveys show that most Georgians are not properly prepared.

The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Peachtree City will host a special community preparedness event called "ReadyFest". Speakers from a number of agencies will participate, including FOX 5 Chief Meteorologist Ken Cook, who will be the Master of Ceremonies. The event will conclude with a "Question and Answer" session and the awarding of door prizes. Don't miss this opportunity to receive valuable local emergency preparedness information. Learn about the types of emergencies that can happen, how to make emergency supply kits, create a family preparedness plan, and how you can support community emergency preparedness efforts.

WHEN: Monday, September 20, 2010 at 6:30 PM
