For the northern portion of the state, the average date of the first autumn freeze has already passed, and it is approaching soon for the central portion of the state. Athens and Macon have both reached freezing (October 30), but Atlanta and Columbus have not. The left map below shows the lowest temperature for north and central Georgia over the last 21 days since November 12.
