September 2007 Weather in Review
|
In September of 2007 a few heavy rain events still came notably in the
first half of September, and then the pattern turned drier in the
second half of the month.
Locally heavy rain events showed up in early September from the
1st to the 5th, and on the 11th.
In Mid to Late September, rain events decreased. These events
were of much shorter duration and less amount of rain.
Overall September ended up a little warmer than average at
most locations and was area wide drier than the previous months.
Rainfall varied considerably from wetter than
usual over the west and southwest part of South Central Texas
to drier than usual over the eastern parts of the area.
If the patterns in late September had prevailed the whole month, then
September 2007 would have been much drier than normal everywhere
across parts of Central and South Central Texas.
