February 2007 Weather in Review
|
More extremes between cold and warm and drier conditions
summarized February of 2007. Like in the period from
late October of 2006 to late November of 2006, any rain
making systems that passed near the area moved quickly
from the west to east, and left little in the way of rain.
The month began cold, warmed up the 4th to the 7th, and
then turned colder during
the day of Thursday the 8th. Three cloudy and cold days
followed the 9th to the 11th, then conditions briefly
warmed up some the 12th, only to turn colder again the
13th. The wave of cold arctic air the 13th kept conditions
15 to 20 degrees below normal the 14th and 15th. With very
dry conditions, the night of the 15th and early morning of
the 16th saw some of the coldest lows for the winter.
