First Half of 2006 Rainfall Over South Texas
2006 Rainfall January to June Rainfall for the first half of 2006 continued dry. Like June of 2005...June 2006 had below average rain across South Central Texas. JUNE 2006 RAIN AT AUSTIN, DEL RIO AND SAN ANTONIO FOLLOWS. AUSTIN MABRY........ 3.18 INCHES...0.63 INCHES BELOW NORMAL AUSTIN BERGSTROM.... 2.64 INCHES...0.78 INCHES BELOW NORMAL DEL RIO............. 2.07 INCHES...0.28 INCHES BELOW NORMAL SAN ANTONIO......... 1.63 INCHES...2.67 INCHES BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL FOR THE FIRST HALF OF 2006 AT AUSTIN...DEL RIO AND SAN ANTONIO...FROM JANUARY 1ST TO JUNE 30TH...IS LISTED BELOW. AUSTIN MABRY........ 21.58 INCHES...4.21 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL AUSTIN BERGSTROM.... 14.91 INCHES...2.85 INCHES BELOW NORMAL DEL RIO............. 4.94 INCHES...3.91 INCHES BELOW NORMAL SAN ANTONIO......... 9.16 INCHES...7.76 INCHES BELOW NORMAL The images below show the rainfall pattern for the first half of 2006. During the first half of 2006 there continued to be a sharp contrast of much more rains over the northern part of South Central Texas, with much less rain, over the south and southwest part of the area.
