December 23-24: Slow moving winter storm tracks across southern New Mexico and western Texas. Sixteen inches of snow fall at Cloudcroft with 2 to 4 inches falling around El Paso and Las Cruces.

January 6: High winds, associated with a strong cold

damage across Hidalgo County around Animas.
