The Tower Topping

A crane raises the last section of the Doppler Radar tower. This section was first assembled on the ground. Included on this final section is the platform that will house the radar pedestal and dish, and also the large radome that shelters the radar.

pic 2 Another shot of the topping of the Tower structure. In this picture the top section is just about to mate up with the existing structure. Notice that there is a worker tethered to each corner post to help guide the sections together... and then securely bolt them together.
