ADVOCACY - Create supportive systems, policies and practices which allow all employees to accomplish the NWS mission and to reach their professional goals. 2. ORGANIZATIONAL ASSESSMENT - Conduct an organizational assessment in two phases. Phase one is the Survey Feedback Action (SFA) and Phase two is a review of NWS documents, systems, policies and practices, as well as employee focus groups and interviews with key officials. 3. FOSTERING DIVERSITY IN THE NWS WORKPLACE: QUALITY OF LIFE - To further develop flexible, employee friendly work policies and practices to increase employee productivity. 4. DEVELOPING THE NWS WORKFORCE FOR THE 21ST CENTURY AND PROMOTING CAREER INTERESTS - To provide opportunities for employees to develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities to their fullest potential, to be rewarded equitably, and to ensure these opportunities are extended to the entire workforce. To improve the workforce diversity of employees in key decision-making positions.
