Hurricane #3, 1934



Perhaps the oddest moving storm in recorded history, this hurricane formed off of the Carolina coast, moved south and the west to make landfall in Rockport.

19 people were killed by this hurricane. Corpus Christi recorded sustained winds of 56 mph and a minimum pressure of 29.12". St. Joseph Island experienced a storm surge of 10.2 feet.
