Hurricane #5, 1912

This hurricane made landfall between Mesquite Rincon Island in the Laguna Madre and Baffin Bay. Winds exceeded 100 mph with this hurricane, but had little effect in the Corpus Christi or Brownsville area.

The storm did cause a ship to be wrecked on Padre Island, and reportedly the boilers from that ship are still present on the beach.
