| Rio Grande Valley, TX Weather Briefing |
|
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The NWS in Brownsville, serving the Rio Grande Valley and all of Deep South Texas, provides the following briefing to combine graphics, photos, a little text, and voice narration to partners looking for a short (generally 3 minutes or less) description of the weather for the next day or two – or beyond. Information will focus on significant weather threats, and include as much detail as necessary to help users make informed weather related decisions to protect life and livelihoods. Special circumstances, such as weekend or holiday planning periods, will determine how much information is provided – for fair or foul weather. The briefing will be provided at least once per day, between 7 and 10 AM Central Time (CST). We aim to issue the daily briefing by 8 AM CST each day. Updates will be provided based on changes in threatening weather, or significant changes in the forecast. A full product description document of the multimedia weather briefing is available here.
