Come Visit NWS Brownsville at the Air Fiesta!
Weekend of Fun Planned February 13 and 14

The National Weather Service office in Brownsville will be hosting a display during the 2016 Air Fiesta, sponsored by the Commemorative Air Force, Rio Grande Valley Wing. There are plenty of activities, and many things to see for kids of all ages at this year’s Air Fiesta. Bob Carlton and his Super Salto Jet Sailplane is a highlight this year, and Paul Fiala (biplane), Chet Kuhn (Pitts Special), and others will be featured in aerobatics performances this year. Beth Jenkins will fly the B–25 "Devil Dog" and others will perform in vintage aircraft from the World War II era. U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Army aircraft are also scheduled to fly.

All are invited to stop by our booth, located in the RGV Commemorative Air Force Hangar located at 955 S. Minnesota Avenue, just south of the main terminal at the Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport. Visit with local meteorologists, learn about aviation and tropical weather, and check out a weather balloon. Interactive displays, including our famous tornado chamber, will be available for all to enjoy and experience. Come on out and have fun with us!
