250-mb isotachs for 12Z 25 Oct '96.

The graphics above shows the 250-mb isotachs for 12Z 25 Oct '96. The jet stream was positioned from eastern Texas to southern Illinois and southern Indiana, and then east to New Jersey. Speed maxes of 160 knots were located over Ohio and Pennsylvania.

The jet stream was curved anticyclonically, which usually means the greatest upward motion associated with the ageostrophic-vertical circulation would be in the right-rear (or right entrance) region.
