Tallapoosa County F0 Tornado - November 15, 2006

National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed the storm damage that affected southern Tallapoosa County. It has been determined that the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated an F0 on the Fujita Damage Intensity Scale.

A weak tornado touched down about one-half of a mile west of Reeltown, near the intersection of County Road 45 and County Road 13. Several trees were blown down or snapped off along the short path. One mobile home suffered some siding damage. Three outbuildings also sustained significant damaged.

The tornado damage path was only 100 yards long and 25 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado touched down at approximately 1111 AM CST. A Tornado Warning was in effect for Tallapoosa County from 1106 AM CST to 1200 PM CST.
