KMOB Radar Reflectivity Loop

Hurricane Ivan made landfall near Gulf Shores Alabama just past 2:00 AM Thursday September 16, 2004. The center of Ivan is visible as the lack of reflectivity near Gulf Shores. Notice the strong reflectivity just to the east side of the eye as its moves into the Alabama Coast. These radar images taken from the Nexrad Radar at Mobile (KMOB).
