Birmingham Storm Relative Velocity Image

This is a storm relative motion image of the storm which produced a F2 tornado across parts of eastern Pickens county
and continued into western Tuscaloosa County. This is the same storm that produced the tornadoes across
west Jefferson County and over St. Clair County. This image shows a rotation association with the storm
just southeast of Gordo, the yellow dot. Rotational velocity of greater than 36 knots was present at this
time. Time of image 0001 UTC, or 701 PM CDT on April 8 th , 1998.
