Tornado touched down along Highway 182 where one motel and a small cottage were damaged. One houseboat was destroyed.
Tornado hit the Pine Hill Subdivision where 5 homes sustained major damage. 30 additional homes suffered minor damage mainly to roofs. Numerous trees were snapped off and a radio tower was toppled.
Tornado touched down at Selma Mall and near the high school. Several air conditioners and part of the roof was torn away at the mall. A visitor's box was destroyed at the high school baseball field.
Tornado moved at tree top level, toppling trees in multiple directions. Several houses and mobile homes were damaged and a roof was almost completely removed from 1 house.

Tornado touched down in Goodhope Community, then skipped northeastward and was observed by residents as it passed through Bellview. It lifted briefly, then touched down again near Baufield before lifting and dissipating. Three houses were damaged, a barn was destroyed, and power lines were downed. A number of large trees were snapped or uprooted. Several of which blocked Alabama Highway 49.
Trees and power lines were downed. Two mobile homes were demolished and 2 others were damaged. Several houses were damaged and 1 man was injured slightly when his trailer overturned.

Many trees were snapped off or uprooted and power lines were blown down. One trailer was overturned and several homes were moved off their foundations. One barn was disintegrated.
3 structures were damaged at the I-10 Industrial Park.

Tornado struck in Greenwood section of Bessemer, then moved through a mostly wooded area at tree top level. It moved across Metro Birmingham as a funnel. Damage was near $100,000. A service station was severely damaged, several houses were partially unroofed, a cinder block garage was demolished, and several other houses sustained minor damage. Numerous tree and power line damage.

Damage was estimated near $2,000,000, mostly in Opelika. About 40 structures were destroyed or sustained major damage, while about 150 others sustained lesser damage. Many trees were uprooted and power lines were downed. I-85 NE of Opelika was temporarily closed because of downed trees and power lines.
Brief tornado touchdown at the Providence Hospital. Onew wall of the hospital was blown down and two cars were damaged.

Struck downtown and eastern sections of Sylacauga, causing an estimated $100,000 to $150,000 in damages. Several large trees were uprooted, 20 cars were damaged, 20 homes and businesses were damaged, and several power lines were downed.

Trees were uprooted and snapped off. Witnessed by NWS Observer.

One trailer was overturned injuring a woman inside. One home was demolished injuring 4 children.
