Homes, trailers, businesses, and a school were destroyed. Many homes were destroyed om Monte Santo Mountain. Several trailers were destroyed near Princeton. Numerous reports of strange optical phenomenon were reported including ball lightning.

Along the path, 546 buildings were destroyed, 330 were heavily damaged. 191 mobile homes destroyed and 59 were heavily damaged. 60 small businesses were destroyed or heavily damaged. Most of Guin was devastated.

This tornado path was separated by only one half of a mile from the tornado that moved through earlier. Over 1000 buildings were destroyed by both tornadoes. There was no effort made to separate the damage totals.

Numerous stores/commercial buildings damaged and several destroyed. The Walker County courthouse was severely damaged and the fire station was demolished. Along the entire path, 500 buildings were destroyed and 381 were severely damaged. 56 mobile homes destroyed with 13 having major damage. One killed in Cullman and 2 others in Berry, Fayette Co. There were 36 injuries in Cullman Co. and 102 in Walker Co.

The tornado swept away home after home killing 14 more people just west of Moulton. Total devastation occurred along the path. 14 people died in Lawrence Co, 5 were killed in Limestone Co, and 9 lost their lives in Madison Co.

Funnel then lifted and touched down at Tin Shop community when 2 trailers were destroyed and a house damaged. At the Highway community, 2 frame houses were destroyed killing 1 occupant and seriously injuring 2 others. At Haywood, a trailer and a house wre destroyed with heavy damage to another house, trailer, workshop and 5 barns. Near Moores Store and Bethal, 1 house and 2 trailers were damaged and 2 buildings destroyed. Remaining injuries were minor.
