A tornado touched down in the southwest portion of the city. The tornado was observed by several people. Extensive damage occurred at lumber yards on the southwest side of the city.
Two homes were demolished, one home was damaged, and one barn was demolished. Numerous trees were snapped off along the path.

One home was destroyed and 6 others were damaged near Byrd. One cafe and 4 homes were destroyed and several other buildings and homes were damaged south of Hamilton near Sugar Bend. Numerous trees were blown down and many farm buildings were damaged along the path.

The tornado touched down 2 miles northwest of Letohatchee and moved east through the Tabernacle and Pintlala communities. The tornado lifted 1 mile east of US Highway 31. Two homes were destroyed by fallen trees. One church and one home were un-roofed. Several houses were damaged and numerous farm buildings were damaged or destroyed. Considerable timber damage occurred.

A tornado touched down 5 miles southwest of Independence and moved east northeast. The tornado crossed Highway 82 south of Swift Creek. One church was destroyed, one church was damaged, 20 homes were damaged, a store was un-roofed, and several farm buildings were destroyed. Numerous trees were uprooted or were snapped off.

Two homes were destroyed and several others were damaged. Several farm buildings were damaged or destroyed.
A service station was demolished. Eight homes were severely damaged and numerous trees and power lines were blown down.

Several trees were blown down. Brief tornado was witnessed by a few people.
A tornado touched down and hit Brent east of Highway 5 and moved into Centreville. One home was demolished and 4 occupants were injured in Brent. Twenty five homes, a large sawmill and a large cotton mill were heavily damaged in Brent. Minor roof damage occurred in Centreville.
Trees were uprooted and many buildings sustained roof damage in Mt Carmel. Three homes and 4 barns were destroyed in Dudleyville.

Fifteen homes were destroyed and another 50 were damaged. Numerous barns and outbuildings were damaged or destroyed. Six large poultry houses were destroyed.

Four homes were completely destroyed and at least 10 homes were damaged. Several barns and sheds were damaged or destroyed. Damage was reported in Ripley, Copeland, East Limestone, Harvest, Hazel Green and Pleona.
Two homes were destroyed and 4 homes were damaged. At least 15 outbuildings were destroyed.

Twenty homes and 20 farm buildings were demolished. At least 120 homes and several other structures were damaged. 2 deaths occurred in 2 separate homes. Timber damage was considerable along the path.

Damage occurred across the much of the county. The damage path was through rural areas and as not documented well. The path length was most likely longer. In Townley, one home was destroyed and several other buildings were damaged.

One home was destroyed and several others were damaged. Numerous trees were blown down. The tornado moved into Georgia.
Over 240 buildings were damaged, 29 were destroyed, and 25 sustained major damage. Much of the damage occurred in Bessemer. The tornado was observed by several people.
