10 homes sustained roof damage and two schools were damaged. 30 additional structures were damaged.The tornado moved across Clay County toward the southeast.
Several homes were unroofed in northern Opelika. A train station and several warehouses were damaged.The tornado moved northeastward along the train tracks on the northern side of town.
All of the fatalities occurred in homes that were totally destroyed. 20 homes were destroyed just west of Aliceville.
