Lake Wind Advisories Discontinued

In an effort to improve our products for the citizens of our county warning area, the National Weather Service in Birmingham has discontinued the issuance of Lake Wind Advisories.

Wind Advisories will now be issued for sustained winds of 17 to 39 mph for 1 hour or longer, or gusts 29 to 56 mph and when necessary, will address the likelihood of winds being 5 to 10 mph stronger over waterways.
