Kids Weather Hour

Kids Weather Hour is a way for students to interact with meteorologists from the Amarillo National Weather Service. To participate in Kids Weather Hour, teachers or school personnel must register their class/students as explained below.
It works like this...Students provide the questions, NWS meteorologists will recognize the student as well as read and answer their question over NOAA Weather Radio!
Kids Weather Hour will take place between 9AM-10AM on each Friday. Want to participate? Here's how!
Request a date:
Send an email to Steve Drillette at steve.drillette@noaa.gov or John Brost at john.brost@noaa.gov to request which Friday your class would like to participate. Please request 2 alternate dates.
Submit questions:
Once you receive confirmation through a reply email from Steve Drillette or John Brost, have your students submit their questions and the info requested below. Please submit questions at least 2 weeks before your approved date.
Listen to NOAA Weather Radio at 162.55 MHz during your assigned date and time. The NOAA Weather Radio is also broadcast at 1610 AM, but reception is variable.
Tell family and friends to listen too!
