IV-ROCS

A few sites still need to be approved in our National Data Base in order to use the new system IV-ROCS. There are still a few problems with the new system which are listed below.

1. You are limited to reporting only one precipitation type.
2. There have been problems with observers being unable to access the system.

If the system is down and you are unable to access it, or if you have any questions regarding the new system, please give us a call at 1-800-275-8165 or 1-806-335-1835. we will gladly take your observation over the phone.

Summerization

The HMT Staff will start visiting the Fischer/Porter sites and our other CO-OP Observers starting in Mid-April. We will be replenishing the sites with tapes, envelopes, pens, and forms. If you need any supplies before our visit, please give us a call at 1-806-335-1835.

Thanks

I would like to thank all the observers that have called in their rainfall reports. The precipitation amounts are a big help in our construction of the precipitation maps that we place on our web page. It is a graphical display of where the rain or snow has fallen. So please keep the 24 hour rainfall reports coming. We can’t do it without your help.
