THE AVERAGE MONTHLY TEMPERATURE FOR OCTOBER AT TALLAHASSEE WAS 73.3 DEGREES WHICH WAS 4.2 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 91 DEGREES ON THE 5TH AND THE 10TH. THE LOWEST WAS 47 DEGREES ON THE 12TH. THE HIGH OF 91 DEGREES ON THE 10TH TIED A NEW RECORD FOR THAT DAY. OCTOBER 2007 WAS THE 7TH WARMEST OCTOBER ON RECORD. OCTOBER WAS WETTER THAN NORMAL WITH 4.49 INCHES OF RAIN MEASURED AT THE TALLAHASSEE REGIONAL AIRPORT WHICH WAS 1.24 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THE GREATEST AMOUNT IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD WAS 3.12 INCHES ON THE 18TH THROUGH THE 19TH. THERE WERE 11 DAYS IN THE MONTH WITH MEASURABLE RAINFALL WHICH WAS 6 DAYS ABOVE NORMAL. THERE WERE 4 DAYS WITH THUNDER AT THE AIRPORT. THE AIRPORT REPORTED A PEAK WIND GUST OF 32 MPH FROM THE EAST ON THE 4TH.
